Re: Raid 10 Problems - Anyone else?

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Steve,

Im not running any anti-virus apps.

I just checked PerfMon/memory/paged and non paged pools on a spare PC and
they read the same 100% as the server.

I cannot take the SBS offline.

Please tell me which items to monitor in Perfmon and what scale/element to
use..... Its a bit complicated for me.

Thanks

Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for taking time to respond.

The hard reboot may cause multiple root issue. So I suggest you try to run
the server in safe mode to narrow down this issue caused by software or
hardware. Safe Mode loads a minimally protected-mode configuration,
disabling Windows device drivers and using the standard VGA display
adapter.

1. Restart the computer.
2. Keep pressing F8 key until the Windows Startup menu appears.
3. Choose the Safe Mode, and press Enter.

Note: Some third party applications and hardware devices cannot be used
during Safe Mode. You will temporarily be unable to connect to the
Internet
while in Safe Mode.

In addition, I am wondering if the anti-virus program is scanning the
drive
M:. If so, please exclude the drive M in the scanning. If possible, I
suggest you disable or uninstall the anti-virus program and test the
problem. If you have any backup program installed, please also temporarily
uninstall it to isolate the problem.

Please let me know the result above so that I can provide the further
assistance on this issue. I am looking forward to your reply.

Have a good day.

Best Regards,

Steven Zhu
