I just don't get this. Why do you think increasing the size of the paging
file would decrease it's usage?
For pity's sake, put more RAM in the box. 1GB is considered (by everyone but
MS's 'System requirement' propogandists) a BARE MINIMUM for a fully
functional SBS. 2GB is more comfortable. Personally I think 3GB or more is
mostly only required by larger SBS networks which have both heavy Exchange
and SQL (or it's derivatives, MSDE/WMSDE) implementations.

Hi There,
I'm running a SBS 2003 server with 512MB RAM and P4 3.0GHz CPU.
CPU usage is normally under 10%, but PF Usage is around 1.64GB. I recently
increased the page file size to see if that would make any difference...
but
it hasn't!
No processes are taking much memory (store is around 20MB and that is the
most).
Is there any way of "flushing"/cleaning etc. the PF because the
performance
of the server is now TERRIBLE!!
Major programs installed:
Exchange
Vertias BackupExec 10d
Trend Micro CSM Suite
WSUS
Free space on C drive is 11.4GB
Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this problem?
