Hello EMagidson,
Thank you for posting back!
I understand that you followed our KB837367 but the full-text search does
not work. I suggest that you perform my suggestions in my previous reply to
isolate if the issue occurs from SQL or SharePoint side.
For your best convenience, I have pasted it again for you:
1. Use Notepad program to edit a txt file which contains the string
"abc123".
2. Upload the file to the document library.
3. Open SQL Query Analyzer. Connect to the SharePoint database
(ServerName\SHAREPOINT; select Windows authentication method).
4. Run the following command:
Select LeafName from docs where contains (content, 'abc123')
5. Will the system find the content?
========================
Regarding your second and fourth questions, "The SQL Server Service Manager
does not start with any services showing as running" and "unregistered in
Enterprise Manager", they are much more related with SQL, I still suggest
that you send your issues in <microsoft.public.sqlserver.server> Newsgroup
for more professional support.
Thanks a lot for your time and understanding!
Best regards,
Brandy Nee
