Long Login Process

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi,
some of the client PCs take ages to save settings orl oad them when
they logoff or logon. I checked the DNS settings on the clients and
they all point to internal lan interface of the server (192.168.16.2).
Can someone PLEASE tell me how I can fix this or where to look for
problems?I have run CEICW a couple of times, in case.
