Hi Roger,
Thanks for using the SBS newsgroup.
From your description, I understand that you want user logon the OWA site
using username@xxxxxxxxxxx rather than username@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx If I am
@company.combase, please don't hesitate to let me know.
I. Please check if the primary E-mail address is configured as
toon the Default recipient policy. To do so:
1. Open Exchange System Manager, expand Recipients, click Recipient
Policies.
2. Double-click Default Policy in the right pane, On the E-Mail Addresses
(Policy) tab, check the primary e-mail domain.
3. If you have modified the email address, please restart the Microsoft
Exchange Information Store service to take effect the change
(services.msc).
II. If it is not the situation, I suggest that you follow the steps below
to use user@xxxxxxxxxxx for the authentication:
1. On the DC, open Active Directory Domains and Trusts.
2. Right click the "Active Directory Domains and Trusts" on the top and
then click Properties.
3. On the UPN Suffixes tab, type the new UPN suffix that you would like
steps:add to the forest. In this case, it should be company.com
4. Click Add, and then click OK .
After that, we should change the UPN for the users by the following
control"->"Edit"
1. Open Active Directory Users and Computers, right click the user and
click Properties.
2. Click Account tab and choose @company.com in the user logon name drop
down list.
Then, the clients can use user@xxxxxxxxxxx to logon OWA site.
III. If you just want to type the username and do not need input
<Domain>\<Username> for authentication, we can do as follows:
1. Open SBS Server Management console.
2. Navigate to "Advanced Management"->"Internet Information
Services"->server name->"Web Sites"->"Default Web Site".
3. Right-click "Exchange", select "Properties".
4. Click "Directory Security"->"Authentication and access
control"->"Edit"to view the Exchange virtual directory settings. Type your domain NetBIOS
name in the Default domain area.
5. Expand "ExchWeb", right-click "Bin" and then select "Properties".
6. Click "Directory Security"->"Authentication and access
explicitlyto configure the default domain setting as Exchange virtual folder.
7. Restart IIS service.
