Re: Windows Mobile 5 and SSL Certs

Chris,
The url for my MX record is: servername.domainname.com and this is also what
I purchased for my SSL cert. But the error I get when I attempt to sync is
that I have an incorrect SSL certificate common name in the Host name field.
This is what lead me to think that I needed to get a cert pointing to:
https://servername.domainname.com/oma. Is that a true statement?

Doc.
are you talking about the URL you put in for the cert?
If so, this will be the URL which is listed in your public DNS records for MX (assuming you are using direct smtp)
This will typically be something like, servername.domainname.com
you've mentioned a couple times OMA. OMA is the equivalent of OWA except for Pocket PCs/Smartphones so the url for that would be https://servername.domainname.com/oma
Does that help?

Greetings Chris,
Yes, as a matter of fact that's the article I was following... but it
doesn't tell me the url that the device wants to map to. It also doesn't
explain how to install multiple certs on the same box, if in fact that's what
I need...
Thanks,
Dan
