User,
The device that does the sharing, does it have a clock? and if it does, has
it slipped out of synchronisation with the time on the main server, as this
will cause Kerberos errors if the time difference is more than 5 minutes (by
default though it can be altered).
I had loads of problems with this and tracked it down to time errors. The
best solution is to open port 123 on your router and allow the main server
to get its time from an ntp server and then get the other devices on the
network to get theirs from the server.
Look up Windows Time (W32Time) service in Google/MS to find out how to do
that.

We have a device that shares its resources via NetBIOS. The user account
and passwords for access to these shared resources are local to the
device. We use these 'non-domain' accounts to attach to the shared drives-
from our Windows XP Sp2: Domain Computers- logged into the domain via
domain user accounts. This works well for our normal usage. However, we
do see many Kerberos errors in our reports-specifying pre-authentication
failures for the NetBIOS Device account name'. Is there a way to clean
these errors up? Maybe specify that this NetBIOS Device share/account is
not a domain/Kerberos account in the registry?
Or should we just ignore these - which sometimes can be in excess or 100
in count within a 24 hours period?
Thanks
