Possibly Guru's problems come from having ISA clients which are not members
of the AD (ie. XP Home). If he accepted the fact that it is necessary for AD
member computers to be XP Pro he may also lose his ISA 'problems'.
The true guru accepts his position on earth and lives within the confines of
his environment, to such a guru all is simple and enlightenment is achieved.
It is easier for a camel to walk though the eye of a needle than for XP Home
to participate in an SBS domain.

Sorry I use ISA 2004 and find it effective and not that difficult to
configure so not sure why you experienced the problems with it.

Hi Steve,
I tried ISA 2004 on a demo environment. I had heaps of problems
configuring
it and keeping it up and running.
I am trying to look for an easier solution. My company does not mind
paying
for a 3rd party solution either.
Do you know of any? Or is there an easier way?

If you have SBS 2003 PE with ISA 2004 it will do this. Upgrade your XP
Home
computers to XP Pro so they can properly join the domain.

Recently my company decided to keep track of the internet traffic and
wanted
to know how many people browse, time (working hours or after hours),
duration
(amount of time spent browsing the web), number of websites visited
(with
the
website visited to find out which is the top 10 most frequented
websites),
amount of data downloaded (we are exceeding the download limit of 12GB
a
month now).
About the network configuration, the SBS server has 2 network cards.
One
for
internal network and the other one plugs to a fixed IP ADSL modem. So,
the
IP
addresses of both are different and internal and external are totally
separate.
Another thing, some users are using "Windows XP Home edition". So they
are
not on the domain. Only way now to identify them are by IP. They can
access
internet currently.
Can some one please help me in this issue please? Also, special thanks
to
Susan for helping with monitoring problem.
