Re: Creating mapped drives from login script

Will the SBS_LOGIN_SCRIPT I mentioned in my original post NOT be run by
admins? If so, that will be good enough. I only login to the server
with admin accounts.

True, but the OP is talking about having a script run or not run based on
the *computer* - not the username. There are ways to accomplish this but my
later reply to him/her regarding the server, should be taken into account.

We have some applications that rely on the existence of a number of
mapped drives. Right now, this is a manual setup issue that I
perform when I setup a user's PC. I want to do this automatically
when user's log in. I believe I can do this in the batch file:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSVOL\sysvol\{MY DOMAIN}\scripts\SBS_LOGIN_SCRIPT.bat,
but there is something I need help with. On certain PCs, I do not
want to execute the drive-mapping code. Is there code that would
allow me to do this? Also, if I am going about this the wrong way,
I would be interested to know what is a best practice to accomplish
my goal.
