John,.
Thank you for your offer, and you can help. All I really am attempting to
do is install SQL 2000 on SBS 2003 standard. Is there a better way. I have
a client that uses SBS 2003 std but now needs SQL to run a primary business
app. What is the best method. If I install SQL from an SBS 2003 Premium kit
what are the licensing implications?
Thanks,
Ray-

Ray,
This document addresses what you need to do to make your sbs standard become
a 'premium' sbs box.
The only difference between standard and premium is that you get an extra
disk with premium that has ISA and SQL Server. You follow these directions
to upgrade your sharepoint install to SQL Server, and then install a default
instance of SQL Server. Then if you choose, you follow these instructions to
install ISA.
This would be the same process if you bought premium or paid to upgrade to
it from standard later.
If you need help with any of this, just let me know and I'll be glad to help.

James,
This appears to address the premium version of SBS only. I don't see any
reference to SBS 2003 standard edition? Please advise.

This should give you the latest info on the upgrade process...

Marina,
I am researching this upgrade and would like to review the process but I
don't own the premium version yet. Is there an online version of these
instructions via Technet or MSKB?
