Do you standardize your installations?

For those of you that are consultants.....
Do you customize each SBS install or set all of them up the same way? I'm
curious as to what teh percentage is each way.
We do ALL of our installations EXACTLY, to the "T", identical. I can tell
you that it not only speeds up installation as we have a step by step punch
list that allows us to do a COMPLETE Premium installation in VERY little
time with ALL functionality but it allows us to get a VERY high level of
consitency and we NEVER run into weird issues we have never seen.
My definition of Identical? All poweredge 2800 with 4GB RAM and RAID5 with
either 80/160DLT or 200/400 Ultrium, SBS Premium in native mode for AD and
Exchange, all SPs, server name server, IP address always 192.168.123.1, fax,
sharepoint with SQL and Adobe iFilter, ISA2004, vb login script for pushing
out printers and mapped drives that are consistent, Symantec AV and SMTP
gateway for Exchange, popbeamer for pulling mail from our Linux colo which
filters spam and viruses
We prep the server in our office so it is ready to drop in and go, we
install at the clients and can migrate up to 25 users with 2 techs in 1 day.
We return the next day for followup with tweaks and training. Result - we
do about 18 per year and can be VERY profitable. So that is my piece of
info to put out there. some people may not like the "cookie cutter"
approach but it delivers a VERY stable installation that is VERY profitable.
