Hello Crina! thanks for your time!
I was follow the steeps you wrote me but there is no error when the Wizard
Finishes and there is no web publishing rules in the ISA Management Console.
This is not the first SBS that i manage, but this error... ¿?¿?¿?
I dont have any firewall or router. The internet conection is managed by the
ISA Server. In this server i have a Dynamic DNS client and it is configured
correctly, because i can see that the conection of these client is
established and updated periodically and i access the VPN or the Remote
Desktop whitout problems. So i put xxxxxxxx.no-ip.org (the name of my
server) in "Web Server Certificates" page. This should be work but it
doesnt!!
When i try to connect to the OWA thougt the Internet Explorer 6 i recibe
this error
Error Code: 10060 Conection Timed out. Sorry but the IE is in spanish.
Thanks!

Hi Andres,
Thank you for posting in SBS newsgroup.
From your description, I understand you can not access RWW and OWA from
internet after you run CEICW on your SBS 2003 Premium SP1 server. If I
have
misunderstood your concern, please do not hesitate to let me know.
As I know, on ISA 2004 you only need to run CEICW to publish OWA and RWW.
Please double check if you have followed the below steps to configure
CEICW:
1. On the SBS 2003 Server open the Server Management console. Go to
Standard Management\To Do List.
2. Click the "Connect to the Internet" link.
3. Choose not to change the connection type and click Next. On the
Firewall
page, select "Enable firewall" and click Next.
4. On the "Services Configuration" page, select all the items and then
click Next.
5. On the "Web Services Configuration" page, make sure "Allow access to
the
entire Web site from the Internet" is selected. If you select "Allow
access
to only the following Web site services from the Internet", make sure OWA
and RWW are selected. Click Next.
6. On the "Web Server Certificate" page, choose to create a new Web server
certificate and then type the public FQDN of SBS.
7. Go through the remaining steps.
8. If you have a router or hardware firewall, configure it to forward
inbound traffic on TCP port 80 and 443 to the SBS server's external
address.
9. Then you can access OWA, RWW and companyweb through typing
https://FQDN/exchange, https://FQDN/remote and https://FQDN:444 from
internet.

If the problem still occurs, would you please help me collect the
following
information?
1. What is the detailed error when you access OWA and RWW from Internet?
2. Open ISA 2004 console and then click Firewall Policy and check if there
is a SBS OWA Web Publishing Rule.
3. Can you attach a screen shot of the error page when you access OWA from
internet to newsgroup?
I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Crina Li (MSFT)

| Hi,
|
| Sorry: bad english!
|
| I have a very hard problem with my SBS2003. When i start and follow the
| Internet conection wizard to configure the ICW and publish the mail
server
| to provide OWA access to RWW, or any task that is available in SBS2003,
it
| doesn´t configure the publising rules and OWA or RWW are not accesible
form
| the internet. Why? the wizard doesn´t give me any error when it
finishes.
It
| tells me that's all rigth! When the SBS doesn´t had the SBS2003 Service
| Pack 1 Premium (with ISA Server 2004) the problem was that it wasn´t
| creating the certificates. I thought that with SP1 the problem will
solve.
| Now, with ISA Server 2004, the rules are not created, and I don't know
if
| the certificates are OK. I need OWA and external access. I only can
access
| the server or lan by VPN and Remote Desktop. Why the Wizard doesn´t
create
| me the necesary rules to the external access? ¿? can anybody give me any
| idea? any data?
|
| Thanks!
