5 hrs to install SBS2003 Trial - Update, reboot = "Expired"

I started install at 12:00 noon.
I went thru the install and after reboot was at " To Do " list
I setup email and internet and went to Windows Update ( as suggested).
I had not yet registered ( that's #4 on to do list)
After WindowsUpdate I rebooted via Update 'screen message' ( "reboot" or "Later")
After reboot, I just logged in (7:45pm) and get " Your trial period has expired please purchase a full copy license" ( or something similiar) then I the screen goes black - then a blue screen - then it reboots ( same cycle over and over). Am I on Candid Camera ?
My "trial period" so far is about 15 minutes. Please tell me that there's a way around this .
