Re: Error message running Internet Connection wizard

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Marina, I've tried changing the Sharepoint Central back to port 8081, but
still no change.

I have noticed though that after running the ICW and seeing the failed
firewall configuration, that all four web sites are "stopped" if thats any
help?

We've never really used sharepoint or any of the intranet stuff, so I'm not
sure whats going on here. I do keep the server fully patched and it has anti
virus (Panda) and email (GFI mail essentials) running. GRC reports that all
ports are stealthed except for 25 for exchange mail.

Should I remove/reinstall anything? Any advice would be gratefully received.

Hi,

Sharepoint Central on port 23011???? That can't be right. Default it is
being installed on 8081.

Hi Marina,

There are four websites listed in IIS, they are:
1. Default Web Site, running, hostname is blank, ip address is 10.0.0.2,
port 80, ssl port 443

2. Microsoft Sharepoint Administration, running, hostname is blank, ip
address is *all unassigned, port is 6421

3. Sharepoint Central Administration, running, hostname is blank, ip
address
is *all unassigned, port is 23011

4. companyweb, running, hostname is companyweb, ip address 10.0.0.2, port
80

I not really too familiar with IIS, so I hope this helps, thanks for your
response.

Hi,
Can anyone point me in the right direction....

The ICW connection wizard fails on the "Enable firewall" part.

The error messages I can see in the ICW error log are:
1
Error 0x80070057 returned from call to Reading the UPNP selection().
Skipping upnp validation

2
Call to Disabling auto discovery () returned ok.
Error 0x80070003 returned from call to Configuring IIS to listen only
on
the
LAN().
Error 0x80070003 returned from call to
CStingrayCommit::DoGeneralConfiguration().
Error 0x80070003 returned from call to Doing general configuration().
Error 0x80070003 returned from call to CStingrayCommit::CommitEx().

This server has just been updated to SBS2003 SP1, it seems to be
running
OK
and the firewall would seem to be operational, but when I try to make
any
changes using the Internet connection wizard, the firewall part fails.
