POP3 Connector Errors

I have had SBS2003 standard running for about 7 months now and have
regularly received pop3 errors in the daily stuffups digest. Users
have been receiving mail, but sometimes I get complaints from friends
that they received a bounce notice, unfortunately they haven't
forwarded the bounce to me. Anyhow this is now pissing me off, the
same errors every morning and I am looking to fix them and how to fix
them as I reformated server last time to try to solve these exact same
issues and they just keep coming back to haunt.
Errors are:
POP3 Connector 1023 20/05/2006 6:16 PM 18 *
The downloading process for mailbox <user [mail.server.com]> was ended
with one or more errors.
(this one changes users as it pleases but usually only picks on the
one user a day)
POP3 Connector 1036 20/05/2006 6:16 PM 12 *
An error occurred during a POP3 transaction to server
<mail.gocconline.com [emily@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx]>. The error is 10060 (A
connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly
respond after a period of time, or established connection failed
because connected host has failed to respond. ).
POP3 Connector 1019 20/05/2006 6:16 PM 9 *
The message download process finished with one or more errors.
POP3 Connector 1035 20/05/2006 6:30 AM 6 *
A error occurred in connecting to the <mail.gocconline.com> POP3
server for user <emily@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>. The error is 11004. The server
may be down for maintenance or your server is not connected to the
Internet.
And this one comes up now and then as well of late....
MSExchangeDSAccess 2102 20/05/2006 2:42 PM 1
Process MAD.EXE (PID=2040). All Domain Controller Servers in use are
not responding: sbsserver.GOCC.local For more information, click
http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp.
These have got worse somehow after I removed 2-3 of the users off the
system when they left for some reason. I have looked in so many places
for an answer and must just be looking in all the wrong places as I
can't find an answer.
Any help appreciated.
