The SP server is at http://sp.[website].net

I am accessing it over the internet.

In IE I have deleted cookies and files; I didn't delete all of the
objects because some are not related

I added variations of the site to trusted sites

Security: low, plus User auth logon: prompt for user name and password

Check for newer versions of stored pages: always

Cookies: accept all

Cleared ssl state

advanced tab set to default

Manually cleared logged on profile's temporary internet files

Browse to site

Troubleshoot issues with Windows SharePoint Services.

I don't get a login prompt.

The admin has deleted and re-created my user and created a new user id,
but neither of these changes what I see on my end.

If I browse to that site with firefox I am prompted and can login.
After I see the site I cannot do anything without being prompted for a
login. The same login that succeeded is now always rejected for any
action within the site (action requests are not enabled).

If the admin logs in from a virgin machine using IE and my credentials
he has no problem getting in.

Any ideas? thank you.
