Hi Steve,
Thanks for your update.
According to your description, I know the ESM just hangs. Actually there is
a lot of content of this issue.
Please collect the following information to further research,
1. Can you access the public folder via Outlook client and Outlook Web
Access?
2. Please expand the public folder on you SBS 2003 Server. Tell me results.
3. It is most likely the database itself has problem. I suggest you run
isinteg -fix against the public folder and run eseutil /d to do offline
Defragmentation.

4. Please run 'eventvwr.exe' (without the quotation marks) on the command
prompt on the SBS 2003 Server, and check if there are any error messages
about this issue, then paste the full context in your reply.
