Re: error "duplicate name exists on the network"

Do you have 2 network cards in the SBS server with both of them plugged into
the same switch or router?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me here. I'm not sure why
i've been getting this message everytime i started the SBS server machine.
The message said "Duplicate Name exists on the network". What does it
mean?.
I admit that i have another PC used as a fileserver but it's got a
different
computer name and it's in a workgroup, not domain. At the moment, i've
been
testing to connect my laptop to the server before it's officially used on
my
network.

Thank you in advance
