Re: Connect a new XP Pro into SBS2003 Domain, problem local admin

are you sure the PC is:
a) joined to the domain
b) logging onto the domain

Log off. Do you have the domain option on the logon screen. If it is not
there, hit 'Options', does it appear and is it set correctly?

You suggest the PC is a clean install, how did you join it to the domain
(was the /connectcomputer process used)? and do any domain users appear in
the 'Local Administrators' list?

Next would be the output of ipconfig from both the server and client.

Hi folks,

I m having some problems with local admin rights on a XP Pro Pc. When i m
connecting to the domain as a administrator i want the domain users be
local
admin on the pc. I click right on "My Computer" then Manage, groups,
Administrator. When i look on location there is only the name of my pc and
not a domain @ all. Even the pulldown arrow won't show more. Is this a
safty
from SBS2003 or is there something else wrong. I can't get the domainusers
to
be local admin in XP but it should work. (I had np when i had a SBS2000
Server). Pc is clean new install from scratch off.

Plz help me out on this one.
