Re: Exchange server outbound email addresses

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Open the user's properties in AD Users and Computers. On the E-Mail
Addresses tab, select the domain2.com address and click Set as Primary.
Clear the check box to automatically update based on recipient policy. The
domain2 address should now be the default from and reply-to address, but
test to make sure.

FYI, these aren't the type of limitations SBS imposes on Windows Server or
Exchange. Within the realm of an SBS-sized domain, I can't think of any
features you'd have on a standalone Exchange Server that you don't have now
on your SBS.

I have been able to enable receipt of email messages from a second domain
(domain2.com versus my default domain1.com which exchange is set up for),
but
I don't understand how to have this user's outbound address show
domain2.com
when he sends email. Our company has a secondary doing business as name,
which is the primary domain, the secondary domain (domain2.com) is the
real
base company, and some users need to have this domain name as their email
address when sending. Now, even though I can receive email for
user@xxxxxxxxxxx, when I send email the address shown and return address
is
user@xxxxxxxxxxxx Is there a way I can force particular users to show a
second (domain2.com) domain as their address when sending emails? I
really
would not want to upgrade to Windows Server 2003 (standard or enterprise)
and
Exchange 2003 enterprise to support two domains for just 3 users who need
the
different email addresses!

Thanks in advance for any help!
