Re: URGENT! mega problems with SBS2003

I tried this last month following the Repair using CD1
I made a backup to disk of entire system to a 2nd hdd using NTbackup.

Installed Windows using CD1 on an new drive, applied drivers and Service
packs
restored from 2nd disk and followed the procedures exactly.

My Company Web, RWW still had problems so I abandoned that
because we were coming to a busy period.

I need to sort this out now - if I can.

If I reinstalled the Server COMPLETELY ie. with Exchange etc
a new install.

Can I Restore just the users and Exchange data ??

Back-up using the built-in back-up and follow the instructions for it to
restore, it will repair any OS issues and put all the data back where it
was, I have done it several times and it works great.

I've got mega problems with SBS2003

P4 1Gb RAM, SCSI HDD, 72Gb SCSI HDD, DAT 72
Running SBS 2003

About a month ago server crashed.

I repaired it using the the 1st CD and things seem to work OK.

Exchange works fine
File & Print OK

I do have problems reported with file replication service, remote web
workspace
Inranet etc.

What can I do ??
Too much broken to try and fix ??

Can I simply:
Install a spare Hard disk (I'm not sure about the DAT - might need to
replace it)
Make a System State Backup to a .bkp file
Backup Exchange to a file .bkp
Copy the "Data" folder

Create a NEW Install *** Do I need to keep the same Server name / domain
etc (or will the system state restore all that if I use a Temp server
name)
Restore System state
Restore Exchange
Copy "Data" folder back

Will this work - or is there a better procedure ??
Any resources available.
