Shares over VPN

I have some customers who's machine, when logging in through the microsoft
VPN, can only see the Users share. Clientapps and all others do not show up
not can I browse to them. These machines have already been added to the
domain. However, I can login from my machine and brwser the shares with no
problem. My machine however is not part of the domain. Not all machines are
doing this though so I am wondering if it might be a problem with the
firewall or router they are located behind that could be causing this.
