Hi,
Thanks for using the SBS newsgroup.
From your description, I understand the issue to be: you received errormessage "The URL 'filename' is invalid. It may refer to a nonexistent file
or folder, or refer to a valid file or folder that is not in the current
Web". If I am off base, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Before we go any further, please kindly help me collect some information to
isolate the issue:
1. Does the issue happen on the specific fax file or on every piece of fax
in the Incoming Faxes library affected? No matter the new incoming faxes or
the original ones? If the issue happen on the specific fax file, please try
to rename the fax file to see if the issue happens again.
2. If you click the fax to view it directly, could you view it? Is there
any issue?
3. Does this issue occurs on any other Document Library, besides incoming
fax library? Please test and let me know the result.
4. Have you applied the SBS 2003 SP1 on the SBS server box? If not, I would
like to suggest that you apply the whole service packs to the server box to
see if it helps. The service packages include WSS 2003 SP1.
I suggest that take a look at the following site to get detail steps about
the SBS 2003 SP1.
Installing Windows SBS 2003 with SP1, "Getting Started" at the Microsoft
Web site (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=51143
5. Have you upgraded the sharepoint database instance from WMSDE instance
to SQL instance?
6. Please capture some screen shots of the error message for analyze. You
can mail me the screen shots to my working mailbox: v-yanniw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
I appreciate your time. I am happy to be of assistance to you and look
forward to your reply.
Have a nice day!
Sincerely,
Jenny Wu

Hi,
I used to be able to change the name of a fax in the incoming fax page
by editing the fax properties. But recently I keep getting the
following error:
The URL 'filename' is invalid. It may refer to a nonexistent file or
folder, or refer to a valid file or folder that is not in the current
Web.
the url is http://companyweb/incoming%20faxes.
I googled the error message but found nothing that relates to my
problem.
TIA.
