Re: SMTP Error Message

I would contact the blacklist holders and have the address removed.

Thanks for the information. Is there any setting that I need to pay
attention
to so this will not happen again. Also I went to
www.mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx and the ip address that I am using
192.168.150 is on the blacklist. Should i change the static ip to another
one. Thanks for your assistance and advice.

My concern is the .local address is being sent out to the internet. I
thought
that the .local is not routeable and should net be seen outside of my
network. I have the verizon email set up throught outlook and not
inside
exchange. Unless I am misunderstanding this. Thanks for the link to
check to
see if we are on the list.

Your mail server is announcing itself as Server1.SJlaw.local when
communicating with remote smtp servers because you've configured it that
way in the CEICW wizard (e-mail domain). If the remote server does HELO
validation that might be a problem, but I think it's more likely that
your external IP address is blacklisted or it doesn't resolve back in
reverse dns to a valid name.

The simplest way out of this is to use a smarthost, otherwise you should
ensure that a your IP is not on any blacklists, that it resolves back to
your server's external name, and that your server announces itself using
the same external name. It may be impossible to get your IP off all
blacklists if it is in a dynamic range.
