Re: Changed IP Address of W2K3SBS (manually) and now OWA not working

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

yep, should fix it.

so to define it:
1st run 'Change server IP address' wiz to move to seperate subnet.
2nd If you love the subnet you're in run it again to return to that subnet.
3rd run the CEICW

and I'd be tempted to go into the registry and search for what I replaced,
undo the manual changes before doing the above. Possibly undo the IIS
changes and return the system to it's original IP. You did make notes about
your manual changes so that if it broke anything you could undo them, didn't
you?

I have never tried to run the wizard after the fact. My instictive advise
would be to run the wizard and change the IP address temporarily to
somthing like 8.2 and than run the wizard again and change it to 7.2. Then
run the connection wizard.

Hello all...

Had to change the IP of the server from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.7.2. I
did
not realize there was a wizard built in until after doing this.

Everything is working fine except OWA.

This is all I know:
Very vanilla install of W2K3 SBS. No other servers, just it and a
firewall.
OWA functions properly when accessed on the host server.
OWA functions properly when accessed from a computer on the local subnet.

When visiting the site from outside:
I get the security warnings:

! The security certificate was issued by a company you have chosen not to
trust
(check) The security certificate date is valid.
! The name on the certificate is invalid or does not match the name of
the
site.

I say 'Yes' to that, and get:

'The page cannot be displayed'

I have gone up and down the IIS Admin. I found a few Directory Security
restrictions were still on the .1 subnet, and changed them to .7.
I searched through the registry for .1, found a few, but nothing really
specific to webmail or IIS.

I am not sure where to keep looking. It doesn't look like a certificate
problem to me, but I am open for suggestions.

If I turn off SSL req'd at the top of the Exchange site, I can get in,
but
the site looks 'bad'. No graphics, no messages or folders appear.

I have re-run the ICW wizard (twice) with no affect. The second time I
created a certificate with a new name.

What do you think about running the IP Change wizard, and just inputing
the
same address I have changed it to?

Any assistance appreciated.

Thanks,

TN
