From your description, I understand that you want to know if the SQL
2005 Server Express can be installed on SBS 2003 server. If I am off
base, please don't hesitate to let me know.
The SQL 2005 Server Express can be installed on SBS 2003 SP1 system.
Have you applied the SBS 2003 SP1? If not, you can refer to the
following web site to apply the SP1 first.
Installing Windows SBS 2003 with SP1, "Getting Started" at the
Microsoft Web site (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=51143
After you applied the SBS 2003 SP1 successfully, you can install the
SQL Server Express on SBS.
Note: before you install the SQL Server Express, please carefully
check the installation requirements refer to the following article:

2. Install SQL Server 2005 Express Edition from the SQL Server

Hi to all!
We need to install a SQL Server Express in a production SBS2003
standard server, because we need to install a web aplication that
use ASP NET 2.0 and SQL Server Express.
We not need to upgrade the current running instances of MSDE
(sharepoint, etc...).
Any previous experiences installing sql server express in ours SBS
Possible errors???
