Got a recent backup?
The number of client access licenses may be reset to five in Windows Small
Business Server 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=888818
Make sure antivirus software on the server is set to exclude the following
in real time, manual and scheduled scans:
FOLDERS
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small Business
Server\Networking\POP3\Incoming mail
D:\Program Files\Exchsrvr
C:\Program Files\Trend (If using Trend Micro Antivirus Software)
C:\Program Files\Trend Micro (If using Trend Micro Antivirus Software)
C:\Windows\system32\inetsrv
C:\Windows\system32\lls
FILES
C:\pagefile.sys
C:\windows\system32\licstr.cpa

Monday morning I show up to work and I notice my SBS CALs have
disappeared.
And pardon my ignorance but I didn't even know I could back up my CALs
until
I noticed they were gone and even worse I can't find a hard copy of the
licenses (A lot of office records were misplaced when we evacuated from
hurricane Rita). In any event I advised Dell of the situation and they
told
me they would email me a copy of the CALs but it takes 3 to 7 business
days.
I'm on day two and I can't wait any longer. Is there a way to restore SBS
to
a previous date? Or is it possible to locate CAL information in the
registry
somewhere? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
