Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for your update by mail. I do see understand your concerns. I
appreciate your time and efforts to the issues.
The SBS 2003 is an integration business network solution. It is based on
Windows 2003 server technology and includes Exchange server, ISA server,
Sharepoint server and so on installed on Windows 2003 server. So the
computer rename problem is not SBS specific issue. I suggest that you refer
to the following article to get detail information about the topic.
Supplemental steps for using the Exchange Server Domain Rename Fixup tool
together with the Windows Server 2003 domain rename tools

SBS 2003 provides many special wizards and components that make
administration more smoothly and efficiently. And it is easier to use than
full version Windows server. I would like to suggest that you take a look
at SBS home page to get more information:

Hi Jenny
I tried everything on your emails with no luck.
We may reinstall company web later. Right now we are too fed up to do it.
Our experience of SBS2003 has been very disappointing.
and we would not buy another one.
Key things that really inconvenienced us.
a) You can't rename the server except when installing the OS which is
rubbish
if it is given a stupid name by OEM
b) group policy for firewall cost us half a day when killed the network
after an update.
Management of this is appalling.
c) Synchronisation of files fails because certain file types are not
allowed.
There is no way around this, which is poor as we have to sit and wait for
to press cancel before the machines will turn off.
d) Sharepoint on company web. Well you know the problem we have now.
However the administration screens for users are appalling and the
administration
generally is highly unintuitive. We will probably not use sharepoint again.
e) Exchange server: we have never managed to get it going.
Thank you for all your help. I am sorry to sound off like this
regards
Jonathan

Hi
We have an sbs server which we set up six months ago, and configured
companyweb
without any problems. However now we want to add a new contact list
when we try to add it we get a log in box. Every possible username
topassword
fails and we get the access denied message. I have set the users to
administrator,
reset the owner of the site and everything else I can think of but
no
avail.
Trying to add from the server as the server administrator also fails.
We are at a loss, as before this we had changed nothing.
I would be grateful for some assistance.
thanks
