I have been working on this issue for 5 days now. Our companyweb
is
completely down you can not access it from the server or any
other
nodes.
All
access to the server management windows are down too because
companyweb
can
not be accessed... I have tried to reinstall the directories no
hope. i
thought it was a DNS problem but I can ping the companyweb and
it
does
return
with the internal server ip address. We have tons of leads and
company
generated articles we have to retrieve. The last backup was
March 12
but
every time I try to restore the data it comes back with data
cannot
be
encripted. I tried to take a couple steps back and see where we
went
wrong.... We uploaded a new site to the wrong folder in the iis
and
companyweb has lost its main page and there are no files inside
the
companyweb to get to the main sharepoint site I need to
reistall
these
files.
I do not have a backup. I know the data is still there in the
sharepoint
folders. The Internal Site Configuration page still comes up
and I
can
make
some configuration changes. Please help I need to reinstall the
companyweb
folder in the IIS / wwwroot file.... Where do I retrive the
correct
files
to
place in these folders?
D
Merv,
thanks for response I removed and reinstalled the sharpoint
services
website
but still no companyweb.. I download all the nessary updates. I
can
ping
companyweb and get the server Ip response... But still no
companyweb..
any
suggestions?
