Alan,
To get your mail, you'll need to verify that your MX (Mail Exchanger)
records are pointing to your new Ip address.
This is a really cool site to verify your information and will test your
DNS, WWW, and MX records.
http://www.checkdns.net/
After getting to the site type in your domainname and select check.
If any section fails you'll need to contact the company that's hosting your
domainname or Dns records.
