Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for your update.
I am sorry for the delayed response due to weekend. Please understand that
the newsgroups are staffed weekdays by Microsoft Support professionals to
answer your systems and applications questions. Your understanding is
greatly appreciated!
Let us perform the following tests:
1. Please ensure set the All Unknown ISAPI Extensions and All Unknown CGI
Extensions's status as Prohibited. You can set them under Web Service
Extensions node.
Then restart the IIS server to test the issue and let me know the result.
2. Have you checked the option "Cache ISAPI extensions"? If yes, please
Uncheck it to test. And if it is Uncheck, please check it to test. You will
find the setting as below:
a. Open IIS Manager, navigate Web site -> companyweb, right click it to
open its Properties page.
b. Under Home Directory tab, click Configuration button and under Mappings
tab, you can find the option "Cache ISAPI extensions".
c. After you change settings, please run command "iisreset" to take effects.
3. Could you remember that what you have done on the SBS server box before
the issue began to happen? Such as some third party applications. You can
try to uninstall the application to test the issue.
If the issue persists, the issue may occur due to the Companyweb site is
corrupted. I suggest that you perform a full backup of the Sharepoint and
reinstall the Intranet component to resolve the issue.
You can refer to the following article to perform backup:
829112 How to back up and restore http://companyweb data in Windows Small
Business Server 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=829112
Then you can refer to the KB 829114 to reinstall the SharePoint Services
Companyweb Web site:
829114 How to remove and how to install the Windows Small Business Server
2003 SharePoint Services Companyweb Web site
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=829114
I am happy to be of assistance to you.
Have a nice day!
Sincerely,
Jenny Wu

Hi
We have an sbs server which we set up six months ago, and configured
companyweb
without any problems. However now we want to add a new contact list and
when we try to add it we get a log in box. Every possible username and
password
fails and we get the access denied message. I have set the users to
administrator,
reset the owner of the site and everything else I can think of but to
avail.
Trying to add from the server as the server administrator also fails.
We are at a loss, as before this we had changed nothing.
I would be grateful for some assistance.
thanks
jc
