The PE 2800 is a good server. If they have MAPS, then why buy the server
with SBS, I wouldn't, will save them $1000 or so. Just use Dell's server
setup CD with the install so all the proper drivers are installed. The only
questionable item is the RAID 0 configuration. Unless you are doing 0+1 so
you are protected, then ok. But if it is RAID 0 with no redundancy, then you
really need to rethink that before you get started.

He says they have spoken to MS and have been told they can use the
software to run thier business.
They are going for a Dell server with 4GB of ram.
PowerEdge(TM) 2800 with Intel(R) Xeon(R) Processor 3.8GHz/2M,EM64T,800MHz
FSB
4 34GB Drives.
I have a client who wants to buy a Dell server with sbs 2k3 premium.
Is it best to let Dell install the base install or Should i do it myself.
I've never used a Dell server before....looking forward to it.
My main issue is that the client is rushing things without penning/scoping
properly.
PowerEdge(TM) 2800 with
Intel(R) Xeon(R) Processor 3.8GHz/2M,EM64T,800MHz FSB (DUAL)
4GB (4x1024), DDR-2 400MHz ECC 1R Memory
Integrated Dual Channel Ultra 320 SCSI Controller
Integrated Dual Intel Gigabit Network Card
3 146GB Ultra320 (15K RPM, 80-pin) SCSI Hard Drive
4 36GB Ultra320 (15K RPM, 80-pin) SCSI Hard Drive
C15: Raid 0 + Raid 0 (PERC4e/Di with 256MB Cache) - ROMB
Raid Controller PERC4e/Di with 256MB Cache
Adaptec(R) SCSI Card 39160 - Dual Channel Ultra160 Controller.
Any suggestions would be handy. I would rather wait for R2 but it's out of
the question.
