RE: Sharepoint stopped.

Hello Frankie,

Thank you for posting back and keeping us updated!

I am glad to hear that SharePoint Service is working correctly after you
reinstall it!

Yes, sometimes resolve the issue efficiently (e.g. Reinstallation) is more
important than to dig the root cause, especially in a production
environment.

Hello Frankie,

Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.

I am sorry but from your description, I cannot have a clear image what
exact issue you have encountered. In order to supplement your
description,
I need your help to gather the following information:

1. Please explain in detail "Sharepoint could not be started". For
example:

a. You cannot access Companyweb?

OR

b. SharePoint Service cannot start? If yes, what is the exact Service?

2. Also, please explain in detail "the proces is used by an other
proces".
What is the first process and second process, respectively?

3. How did you reinstall the SharePoint? Did you follow any steps or any
web link? If yes, please list the steps and the web link so I can know
whether your steps are correct.

4. When did the issue occur? Did you make any changes on the SBS Server
recently? For example, install any updates or software?

5. Does this issue occur in LAN or from the Internet? On the SBS Server
Console, can you access companyweb (http://companyweb)?

6. Open IE -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Uncheck the box
"Show friendly HTTP error messages". Close and open IE again. Reproduce
the
issue. Capture a screen shot for the error message and send it to
Newsgroup
for accurate research.

Please take your time to gather the information. If you have any
updates,
please feel free to let me know. I am looking forward to hearing from
you!

Best regards,

Brandy Nee
