Yes, knowing what the defaults are would help. I'm pretty new to SBS so still getting to grips with it all. I can also see your point about too many questions in a wizard. Ideal world would be selectable levels of skill/experience before starting the wizard, which would change the customisation available.
SBS is still the most impressive MS product I have used apart from the early incarnations of windows that allowed me to run dos wordperfect and a spread*** at the same time :)

The more options you put into a wizard, the more complicated it becomes. Knowing what the default limits are helps. But there isn't going to be a default that suits everyone, so having the ability to configure certain things outside the wizards is an option. Which things, and where to access the configuration - well - that's a product knowledge thing.
No other single product that MS offers touches so many technologies. A good SBS adminstrator will have skills in many technologies, not the least of which is the 'SBS' skill - knowing what can be done or not done without breaking the integration.
