Thank you for your relpy. Here is as much info as I can provide now.
I will be able to provide the rest of the information later today, when
I make a site visit to our client.
2. When did the issue occur? Since you did not encounter this issue before,
did you make any change on the SBS Server recently? For example, install
any updates or software?
This issue has occured at least twice. Once it cleared itself up,
this time it is still an issue. The only changes to the server have
been Windows Updates and updates to the medical practice management
software.
3. Does this issue occur to one particular recipient or certain?
The first time it occured, it happened to one recipient in
particular. I have to double check, but I believe it is happening to
several recipients now, possibly all of them. I'll get the details
shortly.
6. Please explain in detailed "same fax retransmitted dozens of times in a
row". I suggest that you capture a screen shot for it so we can have a
clearer image of the issue.
A doctor sends a fax from one of the client machines by printing to
the fax printer. He selects the recipient from a shared address list
via Exchange server. This fax then obviously gets sent to the queue.
The fax console shows that the fax is sent with the correct number of
pages and the appropriate length of time for the number of pages being
sent. Viewing the fax shows the cover and correct pages. The
transmission is marked as successful. The recipient gets multiple
incoming faxes with just the cover page. Some times it's just a few
multiples, sometimes it's 20+.
As I said, I'll get the rest of the information for you shortly and
post it/e-mail you logs.
