Hi,
I have just bought a new SBS 2003 Server and am trying to set it up.
I have one ISP providing my broadband service and another supplying my web
space and email. The broadband service has a fixed ip address.
My incoming email is sent directly to the mailgate ip address of my
broadband router. The router goes through a firewall.
I have followed the set up procedure for the internet and email with the
following settings:
_________________________________________________________________________________
Connection Type: Broadband
My server uses: A local router device with an IP address
Preferred DNS Server: 158.152.1.43 (Supplied by the ISP providing broadband
service)
Alternate DNS Server: 158.152.1.58 (Supplied by the ISP providing broadband
service)
Local IP address of router: 192.168.16.1 (the fixed ip address of my
firewall)
My server uses a single network connection: Tick box ticked.
Create a new Web server certificate: entered url of company web site
www.westair.com
Enable Internet Email: Yes
Forward all email to email server of your isp: post.demon.net (Supplied by
ISP providing broadband service)
Use Exchange: Yes
Email is delivered directly to my server: Yes
E-mail domain: westair.com
Use the following schedule: Every 15 minutes
______________________________________________________________________________________
I can send email but cannot receive email. I can access the internet from my
server.
Can anyone help.
Thanks,
Carl Read.
