Re: Remote Printing with RWW Help Req.

I've just tried from another workstation, which has a local printer
connected directly to it. And it printed to it fine.

I better explain what my situation is:

We have a Windows 2003 LAN here, connected to the file server is the HP
laserjet 1000 via a USB cable.
My laptop which is connected to this LAN has a HP laserjet1000 printer
driver set up on it, which is mapped to the server driver.
I use this laptop to RWW into our remote SBS03 server.

I also read some where that some people have been having problems getting
RWW to work with USB printers? Is this a known thing?

Hi,

I've got a HP Laserjet 1000 at my office. On the Server that I'm
connecting to I have installed the HP Laserjet 1000 printer driver.

When I connect to RWW and to Printers and Faxes I can see that it has
created a printer called

"HP Laserjet 1000 on servername (from RemoteUser) in session 3"

On the server in RWW if I load notepad and type a few words and then go
print, the server immediately gives me a printer error saying failed to
print.

If I check back on my local print queue I can see a print job with the
following information:

Document name:
Remote Desktop Redirected Printer Doc

Status:
Spooling

Owner:
Tristan

Pages:
N/A

Size:
Shows nothing

Port:
Shows nothing.

Have wait 5 minutes and nothing is printing. It looks like I'm close, but
for some reason it is not working...

Any ideas?
Thanks
Tristan
