RE: RWW - RDP to desktop failing to load

Hello Mike,

Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.

I understand that you encounter following error message when trying to RDP
to domain computer's desktop through RWW:

Line: 272
Char: 4
Error: Invalid procedure call or argument
Code: 0

If I have misunderstood your issue, please let me know.

Based on my experience, this issue may occur if you try to connect to the
remote computer desktops via RWW from a computer of which the screen
resolution is higher than 1600*1200.

I suggest that on the computer selection page of RWW, click "Optional
Settings" and switch the screen size from "Full screen" to a different
resolution. Of the list of available resolutions, the highest is 1600*1200.

=========

If the issue persists, please help me collect the following information:

1. Please capture a screenshot for the error message, so we can perform
accurate research.

2. Does this issue occur in LAN or from the Internet?

3. If you use another computer, will you encounter this issue occur?

4. If you log in the problematic computer as another domain account, will
you encounter this issue?

5. If you log in the problematic computer as the Domain Administrator
account, will you encounter this issue?

6. When did the issue occur? Did you encounter this issue before?

7. On the problematic computer, go to Start -> Run, type "mstsc" (without
quotation marks). Can you RDP to any other computers' desktops?

Please take your time to perform the steps. If you have any further
updates, please feel free to let me know. I am looking forward to hearing
from you!

Best regards,

Brandy Nee

Never seen this one before. I have install and uninstalled the ActiveX
module that let you fire an RDP session with a workstation or server from
RWW. When the machine is selectged and ran, it shows a web page error in
the
bottom left corner of IE that tells you there were problems with this web
page that might prevent it from being displayed properly or function
properly. The exact error is: Line:272, Char: 4, Error: Invalid procedure
call or argument, Code: 0. Has anyone seen this before? I tried
rebooting,
clearing the cache ande cookies, uninstalling the ActiveX applet and
reinstalling it by hitting the web page again, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Mike Johnson
