Re: Can't publish Outlook Web Access to external network. Need help.

Hi Tornn,

Your SBS external nic should have a static IP configuration, rather than
dynamic.

You nee to run the 'Connect to the Internet' wizard from the ToDo list in
Server Management, and select the services you want to make available from
the internet. Remote Web Workplace provides connectivity to the internal
workstations without further configuration. The wizard also configures ISA.

I presume you have another device between the internet and your external
nic - you need to forward some ports from the public ip to the ip of the SBS
external nic. Common ports are:

25 (SMTP)
80 (Optional, will re-direct to 443 for RWW and OWA)
443 (OWA and RWW)
444 (Companyweb)
4125 (Connect to workstations/SBS, and Terminal Server via RWW)

1723 and GRE 47 (Optional, only required for VPN)
3389 (Optional - only required if you want direct RDP to administer the
server)

As an aside, you'll generally get better results if you use SBS as your DHCP
server for the lan.

Hi All!

I have SBS2003 Premium installed and ISA 2004 running ot it. Also I
have several web sites, which is installed by default and I need to
publish them.

My server has to network adapters:
1. External which lies in the network: 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0 IP
address is dynamically assigned by DHCP on this net.
2. Internal which in internal network: 192.168.12.0/255.255.255.0. And
I have my own DHCP server in this network. And server has static: IP
192.168.12.1

I need to publish local services to external network. Services I want
to publish are: Sharepoint web site, Outlook Web Access and Remote Web
Workplace (actually I need Remote Desktop connection to several
computers in the domain).

I successfully published Sharepoint web site by adding a simple rule to
ISA Server. At this point I don't need SSL, so I can access my portal
using HTTP.

But I really get stuck when trying to publish Default Web Site and/or
Outlook Web Access. ISA server throws connection with several errors. I
really can't understand what is wrong with it. I'm adding rule the
same way, as I done it for Sharepoint.

Maybe there are some milestones in publishing HTTPS web sites?

Any help appreciated.
Sergey.
