1st) ALL your workstations are members of the SBS domain, right?
2nd) The 2K box is simply a fileserver, no LOB Application, nothing too
complex, right?

I kinda of thought that was be the thimg to do, I just needed someone to
tell me that.
Could you point me to KB info on dcpromo?

I suggest then that you lose this unnecessary complexity.the
WE PROBABLY NEED TO CHECK SOME THINGS !!BEFORE!! DOING THIS BUT:
Why not just DCPromo the W2K box down, destroying it's AD, and join it to
the SBS domain?

Thanks for the reply,
I had the Win 2K server as file print, the got the SBS software & put
/allserver on the network.
No preticular reason.
Never used GPO & decided it was time to tackle it.
I want to bring the win 2k server into the 2k3 sbs forrest one day.
Again many thanks

the IP config from a client experiencing the error may also benot
helpful.
I'm just going to check something (running two AD's on the same wire
is
something I do every day), will probably want you to make some changeseither
concerning the DC's only looking to themselves for DNS and the use of
a delegation or forwarding to resolve names in the 'other' AD.&
BTW: Is there any particular reason why you are running two seperate
AD's?

aj01.ajinc2.local is win 2K3 SBS
Here is the info you requested.
Again thanks for any ideas.

can you ping the server2 by IP when you have two domains on? If yes,
can
you
ping it by name? or posting the results of both servers' ipconfig
onhere
may help.

Hello All,
I am having a problem loginng on toExchange 2003 using Outlook 2003
SBSa
windows 2000 pro client.
I have a Win 2K Adv server as server1 on domain AJ1, and a Win 2K3
Ias
exchangeserver2 on domain AJ2.
When both servers are on the network outlook can't connect to the
server.
If I disconnect the Win 2K server , and reboot my win 2000 pro
client
can
connect to the exchange box.
I don't understand why I can't connect to server2 on domain AJ2 that
has
exchange on it when server1 on domain AJ1 is connected.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
MMJII
