RE: Strange Backup problem

I am a bit confused. If Windows SBS does not support SQL 2K5 Enterprise
Edition, why does this page says it is supported?

Dear Customer,

Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.

I understand that you install SQL 2K5 Enterprise Edition on SBS Server and
then Backup does not work. If I have misunderstood your concern, please let
me know.

Please understand that Windows Small Business Server 2003 does not support
the installation of enterprise (or upgraded versions) of server
technologies on to a Windows Small Business Server 2003 server. So if you
really want to use SQL 2005 Enterprise, you need to install it on another
server.

For more detail information, please see our FAQ below:

Windows Small Business Server 2003: Product Information
Frequently Asked Questions

For your best convenience, I have pasted the content for you:

Q: I install the enterprise editions of Exchange Server 2003 or SQL Server
2000 on to Windows Small Business Server 2003?

A. Windows Small Business Server 2003 does not support the installation of
enterprise (or upgraded versions) of server technologies on to a Windows
Small Business Server 2003 server. As your business needs change, however,
you can protect your investment in Windows Small Business Server 2003 by
purchasing the transition pack. The transition pack releases the licensing
and technology limitations of Windows Small Business Server 2003, but you
must purchase and install the technology upgrades yourself.

I suggest that you uninstall the SQL 2K5 Enterprise and test the issue
again.

Thanks a lot for your time and understanding!

Best regards,

Brandy Nee

Hi, My backup has been running fine for a couple of weeks already. It
seems to
stop functioning after my installation of SQL Server 2005 Enterprise
edition... but I am not 100% sure if SQL server 2005 is the cause of it.
There is no error in the Event Viewer (both system and application) after
checking it a couple of times. SQL Server database all are in SIMPLE
recovery mode. none of the drive has the shadow copy enabled.

I have already refer to the article id 828481... it does not match my
situation.

This is what I found in the log file. Need help urgently. Thanks.
