Are you moving from one machine to another, or changing the IDE raid to SATA
raid on the same box? If the former, see www.sbsmigration.com. If the
latter, I think you probably need to get all the drivers for the new system
installed on the old before mirroring. I'm speculating that it might be
blue-screening due to the lack of an appropriate driver for the SATA
controller, etc.

Hi all
I need help regarding the best plan when upgrading hardware for an sbs03
server. I want to upgrade the mirrored raid box from an ide to a sata.
Had
little success when ghosting from ide to sata, result was blue screen. im
certain that a fresh install on the sata box will do the trick. theres
infos
online saying creating a bdc is the way to go, but i thought that there
can
always only be one sbs on a domain. which leaves bdc of server03 (no
problem
there). if i havent confused you guys, in the end all i want is to
minimise
downtime on the company by having always a server online. let me know
your
thoughts, perhaps point me on the right direction. much appreciate it.
thanks.
