Baffelling RWW problem

I've taken on a new SBS2003 Std (1 Nic) (SP1) client with a RWW problem that
has me going in circles.
Connecting to https://servername/remote brings up the logon page and
correctly authenticates (or correctly fails authentication) but then returns
right back to the login page. No errors show up in the event log or in the
browser, just back to the login page.
/Exchange /companyweb /connectcomputer all seem to work normally. Everything
seems to be working great on this site, including WSUS correctly installed
and updated on port 8530.
Trying all this internally on the same subnet, SBS server doing DHCP, DNS,
WINS normally. DCdiag, netdiag, everything comes up roses, Except for RWW.
Same results on all workstations tried (3) including my mobile management
platform.
I'm doing side-by-side comparisons of IIS settings with a working SBS site
but that too is coming up empty.
Any tips on troubleshooting this problem?
