Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your update. I am glad to know that things are getting fine now.
You can continue monitor clients for some time and please feel free to let
me know if you need further assistance to the issue. I am glad to help.
Additional information:
I. The remote connection session is disconnected or end is decided by
Terminal Services Configuration. By default the session will not be
ended.¡¡You can set session idle time to end the timeout remote connection
session so that the resources can be released for others. These settings
can be configured in Terminal Services Configuration console.
You can refer to the following steps to configure:
1. Open Terminal Services Configuration ( Start ->Administrators Tools ->
Terminal Services Configuration).
2. In the console tree, click Connections.
3. In the details pane, right-click the connection you want to modify, and
then click Properties.
4. On the Sessions tab, you can configure settings as your needs (End
session time, Idle session limit, active session limit and so on).
*Note: The changes in Terminal Services Configuration will be take effect
when you restart the TS server.
II. There are also some Group Policy settings that you can configure to
disconnect idle Remote Desktop sessions.
The group policy is: [Computer Configuration\Administrative
Templates\Windows Components\Terminal Services\Sessions\Set time limit for
disconnected sessions]
Hope it helps.
Have a nice day!
Sincerely,
Jenny Wu
