The IP address of the local adapter on the laptop is in the same subnet as the LAN IP subnet for the SBS network

This is a known issue

Yes this was from a laptop. The individual works remotely all the time and
is on the road a lot so only uses a laptop.

Some individuals use OWA okay but others cannot because of the lack of
access to files on mapped network drives that they need.

Any ideas why the laptop cannot get access to local resources ?

In answer to you other question...would they not always be using the laptop to remote in?? You mentioned something about using a destop to remote in.

One option is to install a desktop at their office that they use when on the road for RWW. Then IP doesn't matter
