Server Faxing Basics - for a beginner

Our company wants to use the SBS to fax and I don't know where to
start. I found many resources on setting up the server through the
wizard, but I have some basic questions.
1) After I get a recommended fax modem that is on the HCL, does this
have to plug into a dedicated RJ-11 line that has its own number? Am I
going to just use the current line that goes to the fax? I'm assuming
this doesn't use our Ethernet........
2) If the above is true, I am going to get all incoming faxes through
this line, right? So there isn't going to be much time for testing it
without possibly losing faxes that are being sent to our old fax
machine......?
3) What programs are going to be used to fax from the client computers?
Word, Outlook, or is another program setup when I setup the clients to
fax through the server?
We are currently using e-Fax and it is costing us a bundle. So any tips
or resources would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
.
