RE: icw error / owa, iis

Hi,

Thank you for posting in SBS newsgroup.

From the description, I understand the issue to be: CEICW stop working when
you publish OWA. If I have misunderstood your concerns, please do not
hesitate to let me know.

In the ICWlog.txt, I find the following errors:

Error 0x80070003 returned from call to Fixing the inheritance for
companyweb dir().
calling Set Web Publishing Rules (0x80070003).
Error 0x80070003 returned from call to CRFireCommit::Commit().

Error code 0x80070003 means "The system cannot find the path specified".
Regarding this error message, it could be caused by the following registry
does not reflect the Companyweb Indentifier in IIS.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SmallBusinessServer\Intranet\companywe
bpath

The Key is called "companywebpath". It should point to your IIS path. By
default could be IIS://LOCALHOST/W3SVC/3 or IIS://LOCALHOST/W3SVC/4.

"3" or "4" here is the Indentifier of the companyweb. To check it on your
system, please refer to the following steps.

a. Install .NET Framework Version 1.1:

b. Install MBExplorer by installing IIS 6 Resource Kit Tools:

c. Once it is installed, access it from Start, Programs, IIS
Resources, Metabase Explorer.
d. In the left pane, expand 'LM' (under your server computer name)
-> W3SVC
e. There will be Indentifier such as 1,2,3, and 4.
f. Select one Indentifier and in the right panel, please check
1015 ServerComment item. The Companyweb site value is Companyweb.

Then, the Registry key for Compnayweb should be
IIS://LOCALHOST/W3SVC/Indentifier
