Hello Michael,
Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.
I am sorry for the delayed response due to the weekend. Please understand
that the newsgroups are staffed weekdays by Microsoft Support professionals
to answer your systems and applications questions. Your understanding is
greatly appreciated!
I understand that you newly installed SharePoint on your SBS 2K3 Server,
but you cannot access the correct Companyweb page. If I have misunderstood
your issue, please let me know.
Based on my experience, there are various factors can cause this issue. I
suggest that we perform following steps and see how it goes:
=========
Suggestion 1:
I suggest that we rerun the Configure E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard
to configure the IIS Settings. Please strict follow KB 825763 for detail
steps:
825763 How to configure Internet access in Windows Small Business Server
2003
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=825763
You also need to make sure that you have correctly configured the DNS.
Please see following two KB articles for detail information:
309633 How to Configure a SBS for Full Time Internet Access with a Single
Network Adapter
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=309633
306802 How to Configure Small Business Server for Full Time Internet Access
with Two Network Adapters
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=306802
Suggestion 2:
Also, please check the Companyweb settings on your server. To do so:
a. Open Internet Information Services. Expand to Yourdomain\Web
Sites\Companyweb.
b. Right click Companyweb, go to Properties.
c. On the Web Site tab, the settings are:
IP address: 125.25.66.56
TCP port: 80
SSL port 444
Enable HTTP Keep-Alives
Enable logging: W3C Extended Log File Format
d. On the Home Directory tab, the settings are:
A directory located on this computer
Local path: C:\inetpub\companyweb
Read, Log visits and Index this resource
Application name: Root
Execute permissions: Scripts only
Application pool: DefaultAppPool
e. On the Directory Security tab, the settings are:
Click the Edit under "Authentication and access control", make sure you
have checked the box "Integrated Windows authentication".
If you make any change, please go to Start -> Run, type "iisreset" (without
quotation marks) to apply the settings.
=========
If the issue persists after you performed all the steps above, please help
to gather the IIS log for further troubleshooting:
1. How did you install the SharePoint Service? Please list the detail steps
or the web link you have followed.
2. Does this issue occur in LAN, or on the SBS Server?
3. On the SBS Server, open IE, type http://companyweb/default.aspx, can you
access?
4. Can you access Companyweb by SBS IP address?
5. On the SBS Server, open IE, type http://companyweb:85, can you access?
6. On the SBS Server, open IE, type http://localhost, what will it display?
Please take your time to perform the steps and gather the information for
research. If you have any updates, please feel free to let me know. I am
looking forward to hearing from you!
Best regards,
Brandy Nee
