Hello everybody,
get the same error-message. Obviously it is a problem of resolving the
internal/external e-mail adress. We did not find any hint, why the
exchange
server resolves the e-mail adress from roeckinghausen@xxxxxxxxx to
roeckinghausen@xxxxxxxxx and therefore sends external e-mail to the
internal
virtual smtp-server.
Can anybody help?
The problem is that the receiving server looks up your source IP address,
sees that it's listed in dialup black list and denies your access based on
that policy. Error 550 is policy-based denial.
You are not mentioning how the Exchange server is configured in antispam
settings, but I think that's where the problem is.
The server does an Active Directory lookup on the recepient and resolves the
mail correctly to a TIC.local address, which is how it is recorded in the
Active Directory as the Exchange alias. How are your recepient policies
configured?
Solution: switch to integrated mail processing with up-to-date mail clients.
Outlook 2003 has, among other things, ability to talk to Exchange through
RPC over HTTPS. You are already licensed for it for every user that is
covered by SBS CAL.
We also may have some language barriers as it is difficult to understand
your exact scenario, so you may want to contact Microsoft Germany as well.
