What I'm trying to do is allow the users in a particular workgroup
access to the shared folders on my 2003 server without them having to
type in a username and password. I have looked through the local
security configuration and security policy for a place to do this and
so far I have not found anything. A particular piece of software
requires access to this shared folder, and currently a user would have
to access the shared folder via windows and enter a username and
password before accessing the data with their software. Unfortunately
this is too complicated for most of the people who will be using this
software. If anyone has a solution, or knows where I can add the
workgroup access to the shared folders without being prompted for
username and password information I would greately appreciate your
reply.
